A commercial pressure washer should be compared at its working flow and pressure, not by maximum pressure alone. Available power and expected duty cycle also shape the choice.
Compare performance at the nozzle
Match flow and working pressure to the nozzle, hose length and water supply. An electric motor may suit a site with adequate power; a self-contained setup brings different operating and maintenance requirements.
- Working flow and pressure measured under comparable conditions.
- Water, power, mobility and expected operating hours.
- Wear parts, documentation and the route to technical support.
When hot water may help
For some grease and persistent deposits, a hot water pressure washer is worth considering. Heating capacity, consumption and servicing then need separate checks. Steam cleaning with an adjustable spray is a distinct option for some sensitive exterior surfaces.
