The figures to establish before choosing

Type of water

Clean water, loaded water, salt water or a particular liquid each call for different materials and solids handling.

Usable flow

State the requirement at the point of use, in litres per minute or cubic metres per hour.

Real total head

Static lift, the pressure you expect, pipe runs, bends and bore together set the total head.

Energy available

Mains supply, solar or fuel determines the technology and its running cost.
