Preparing the site properly
Measuring the area
Add to the pool dimensions the space needed to walk round, reach the connections and service the filtration.
Checking the load-bearing capacity
A cubic metre of water weighs roughly a tonne. The base has to carry the total load without differential settlement.

Allow for a protected electrical supply, the water feed, the drain-down and where the filtration unit will sit.

Saltwater option: what the chlorinator actually does
The electrolytic cell is fitted in line, downstream of the filtration. It converts the chloride from the dissolved salt into active chlorine, which disinfects the water. This option does not do away with checking pH, salinity, temperature and filtration run time. The cell’s output is therefore sized to the pool’s real volume and how it is used.

Frequently asked questions
Does a rectangular rigid inflatable pool need a metal frame?
No, not for an all-Drop-Stitch structure. Inflated to the specified pressure, the walls hold themselves up, provided the manufacturer’s installation conditions are met.
What base is needed under the pool?
The base must be level, stable, clean and able to take the combined weight of the water and the pool. A suitable ground protection sheet reduces the risk of puncture.
Is filtration included with the pool?
Not as standard. Flocea works out cartridge or sand filtration according to the volume, the use and the level of upkeep expected. The quotation states what is included.
Can salt treatment be used?
A salt configuration can be studied. The chlorinator, the salinity and the compatibility of the connections and equipment all have to be validated together.
Can the pool be taken down at the end of the season?
Yes, on models designed for seasonal use. The pool should be emptied, cleaned, dried completely, folded as per the manual and stored under cover.
How do you choose between 4 × 2 m, 4 × 3 m and 6 × 3 m?
The choice comes down to the space actually available, the walkway you want to keep around the pool, how many people will swim and the volume of water you are prepared to filter and look after.
