When a centrifugal pump is the right choice
A centrifugal pump favours flow over pressure. It is the right answer when a lot of water has to move against little head: filling and emptying tanks, transferring between reserves, gravity irrigation or feeding a low-pressure network.
If you need pressure rather than volume — sprinklers, a long network, several outlets at once — a multistage pump or a booster set is the appropriate solution.
Characteristics
- Flow rates up to 130 m³/h depending on model
- Suction lift up to 8 m
- Suitable for clean and lightly loaded water
- Robust build intended for sustained professional use
Applications
- Pillow tanks: filling, emptying and transfer between reserves
- Shallow wells: abstraction within the suction limit
- Irrigation: feeding a low-pressure or gravity network
- Industry: circulation and transfer of process water
Frequently asked questions
Does high flow mean good pressure?
No — they are separate characteristics. A centrifugal pump delivers volume against modest head; for pressure you need a multistage model. Tell us the flow and the pressure you need at the outlet.
Can it handle loaded water?
Lightly loaded water, yes, with a suitable strainer. With mud, sand or debris you need a pump rated for solids.
