Priming: the key to a successful start
Avoid damage from dry running by following this simple but essential priming procedure:
- Fit the equipment:
- Fit the strainer to filter out debris
- Install the non-return valve to hold the prime
- Prepare the pump:
- Connect the suction line securely
- Locate the priming plug on top of the unit
- Prime the pump:
- Carefully unscrew the priming plug
- Fill the pump body and suction line with water until it overflows
- Retighten the plug firmly
- Start the system:
- Check the electrical connections
- Switch the pump on
